201 stainless steel J series is a series of stainless steel materials with improved composition based on 201 stainless steel. It aims to meet the requirements of stainless steel material performance in different fields by adjusting the content of elements such as copper and carbon. This series mainly includes models such as J1, J2, J3, J4, and J5, which have certain differences in chemical composition, processing performance, and application scenarios.

1. 201 stainless steel J series models

J1: Medium copper content, good processing performance, suitable for ordinary deep-drawn products such as decorative panels, sanitary products, and sinks.

J2: Low copper content, high hardness, simple processing of decorative pipes, but relatively poor ductility, easy to break when bent.

J3: High carbon, low chromium, and low copper, the material is slightly harder, not suitable for high-strength bending, but in the narrow band field, it is favored by pipe manufacturers for its corrosion resistance and deformation performance.

J4: High copper content, it is a high-end product in the 201 stainless steel J series, suitable for small-angle deep-drawn products such as kitchenware and sanitary products.
J5: Similar to J2, it also has high hardness and low ductility, but the specific application scenarios may vary depending on the manufacturer and product.


2. Differences


Chemical composition: The main difference between the models lies in the content of elements such as copper and carbon. The higher the copper content, the softer the material and the better the processing performance; the carbon content affects the hardness and strength of the material.


Processing performance: J1 and J4 have relatively good processing performance and are suitable for various bending and stretching operations; while J2, J3 and J5 may encounter more challenges during processing due to their high hardness or material property limitations.


Application scenarios: According to the performance characteristics of each model, they are widely used in different fields. For example, J1 and J4 are often used in kitchen equipment and bathroom products due to their good processing performance; J2 and J5 may be more suitable for occasions with high hardness and strength requirements; J3 has unique advantages in the narrow band field.


3. Performance


Corrosion resistance: 201 stainless steel itself has a certain corrosion resistance, but the specific corrosion resistance will be affected by factors such as material composition and surface treatment. The models in the J series may have slight differences in corrosion resistance, but generally they can meet the use requirements in general environments.
